Bruce opened Pine River Entertainment, a Literary and Talent Management Company, in the summer of 2003. Before that, he was a manager with John Crosby Management and Messina-Baker Entertainment.
Our clients have worked on stage at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, South Coast Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, The Kirk Douglas Theatre, Shakespeare Center LA, Arizona Theatre Company, The Actor’s Theatre of Louisville to name just a few.
Over the years, our clients have guest starred or recurred on Modern Family, AP Bio, The Big Show Show, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0, Criminal Minds, NCIS: Los Angeles, Designated Survivor, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Shameless, True Blood, Grimm, The Brave, Future Man, The Walking Dead and many more.
Prior to his focus on management, Bruce worked as the Executive in Charge of Film Production for Tim Allen's Boxing Cat Productions. He was the creative Co-producer on Universal's For Richer Or Poorer starring Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley. Bringing the project to the company, he worked with the director and writers to shape the screenplay into a starring vehicle for the actor and was on set in Baltimore and New York City during filming.
Bruce was the Associate Producer on Disney’s Jungle 2 Jungle which starred Tim Allen and Martin Short. He spent the entire shoot on location in the jungles of Venezuela and in New York City.
In the summer of '08, Bruce was the Executive Producer on the indie film, My Name Is Jerry. The film stars Doug Jones and was shot in Muncie, IN.
Bruce has been a speaker or industry guest for: The Hilberry Graduate Theatre Program at Wayne State University, Ball State University, The American Film Institute, The Pacific Northwest Writers Association, The Southern California Writer’s Conference, Northwest Screenwriter’s Guild, The Malibu Film Festival, The Screenwriting Expo and Fade-In Magazine. He was a judge and guest panelist for the Tahoe-Reno International Film Festival and an Addy Awards judge in Oklahoma City.
As an actor, Bruce has appeared on General Hospital, The Young And The Restless, Reasonable Doubts, Hunter, Sisters, Hill Street Blues, Knot's Landing, Santa Barbara, TheBold And The Beautiful, and more.
He has a law degree from The Detroit College of Law and a teaching degree in the Sciences from Eastern Michigan University.
